Worked for me too, this has been bugging me for ages and had slightly bent some spokes, very annoying. My bike with the problem is a 2017 model, I also have a 2009 Brompton which has never been a problem, so maybe it was an assembly problem. I’ll compare the 2 bikes when i get chance. Thanks for the info,I like my bike much better now!

Rarely do you make a simple discovery that results in such a disproportionately large benefit in life. This is one of those instances. It’s like when I discovered at 26 years old how to properly tie my shoelaces (start with left over right, not right over left). I was elated to discover that it’s not normal for laces to come untied 3 times a day and that the remedy was so easy.

I never rolled my folded brompton because I just assumed the irritating plinking noise was normal and unavoidable. Now that it’s fixed, it’s just a joy to roll it around.
