I live in Seattle, which rains 9 months out of the year. My daughter tried to use a bike her 1st year at U.W. It’s a big campus and it saved lot’s of time by having a bike. But it’s also very inconvenient to ride and take care of the bike on rainy days!

I spent lots of time online to try to find her an electric scooter — something lightweight with good reviews and not overpriced. With not many choices out there, I purchased this Swagtron (from a local store).

It’s been 13 months now and we are still very happy with this purchase! Although it’s advertised as “not for rain”, for 8 months, she rode it 5 days a week (rain or shine) 2.5 miles each day. Light mist or pouring down rain, it still works perfectly. She protects the handle bar and charging port from the rain with a plastic wrap.

I’ve had my scooter for two months now and ride it to work daily. I put about a mile on it per day. I think it’s a great scooter but I have one problem. The scooter has started to fold as I’m riding it. Yes I make sure it’s locked into place before I ride it. Why would my scooter fold like that? It folded as I was crossing a highway and made me crash. Luckily I’m ok. I love my scooter, I just really need to know why this keeps happening.

This is a nice review of the swagger. I can’t believe that such an awesome foldable electric scooter with carbon fiber is worth less than 400 usd, actually I just ordered mine on Amazon from your link and it is currently retailing at 299.99 USD. Looking forward to riding it and giving a feedback about its performance.

In reply to Rodney Rivers. You probably bought the old version. Both the black and white Swagger have the reflector. You should contact the manufacturer directly to get it.

I purchased the Swagger Electric Scooter (Black) and love it! But I see the White Scooter has a back red reflector on the foot break and the black model I have doesn’t. How/where Can I order the back red reflector for my scooter when riding at night (NY) for safety? Please Respond ASAP.
